Overview
This course provides the fundamentals and criteria for conducting apparel fit evaluation which is critical in the development of the final pattern draft before the garment goes into mass production. It is highly recommended for anyone involved in the technical design and prototyping process. You will learn how to conduct fit evaluation, identify issues from the fit evaluation, and alter patterns to address the various issues identified. Funding Period: 1st March 2021 to end Feb 2024

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above
and

Possess at least 3 GCE ‘O’ Level credits with a minimum of C6 including English and Mathematics OR ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 5 and above OR WSQ Advanced Certificate in Fashion Technology OR TaF.tc's Advanced Certificate
and

All students are required to have basic computing skills - i.e. able to turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engines for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.

All students must also be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies: a) Drafting and Sewing: Tops AND Drafting and Sewing: Bottoms OR b) Intermediate Drafting and Sewing
Graduation
To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
and

Be found competent for written, practical and oral assessments
International Students
To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 75

You will need a laptop OR computer OR tablet*, whichever you prefer, for viewing your E-books and E-Learning.
*Devices need to have a working camera and a microphone.
We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!
